What if you could step into someone else’s world—just for a few minutes?
For millions of Europeans with disabilities, the workplace is still full of invisible barriers. Despite decades of policies and good intentions, only around half of people with disabilities in the EU are employed, compared to over 75% of those without disabilities. Too often, this isn’t due to a lack of talent or motivation—it’s because the work environment isn’t ready. It’s time to change that. Not with more policy documents, but through real experiences that change how we think and feel.
InclusiVR@Work is a European project using Virtual Reality (VR) to promote inclusion and empathy in workplaces. Our mission? To help employers, HR managers, and vocational educators truly understand what it’s like to live and work with a disability—and act on that understanding. Instead of reading about disability, you’ll experience it. Instead of assuming what “reasonable accommodation” means, you’ll feel the impact of its absence. This is inclusion you can feel.
InclusiVR@Work is developing three powerful tools to support inclusive workplaces:
1. Immersive VR Simulations
Step into the shoes of a colleague with a physical, hearing or visual disability. These guided, interactive experiences will help you better understand daily barriers—and what inclusive work environments should look like.
👉 Coming soon to this platform.
2. CPD Training for VET Professionals
A complete professional development programme to help VET educators bring inclusion into their training practice using VR and innovative methods.

3. Online Course for HR Managers
A practical, interactive MOOC that guides HR professionals on how to build accessible, welcoming workplaces—from recruitment to onboarding, support, and adaptation.

InclusiVR@Work is more than a tech project. It’s about making empathy actionable and helping people see ability instead of disability. We believe that with the right tools and mindset, every workplace can be inclusive—and every person can feel empowered to contribute their talents.
